Headed by Iraq.. Starting the work of the (98th) session of the Board of Directors of the Arab Labor Organization in Cairo

Baghdad The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Ahmed Al-Asadi, chaired today, Sunday the work of the 98th session of the Board of Directors of the Arab Labor Organization, he welcomed, during his opening speech, the organizers and participants in the session, representatives of Arab countries, headed by the Director General of the Organization, Fayez Ali Al-Mutairi.

The Minister stressed, according to a statement issued by his media office, “the need to discuss the conditions of workers in the region, noting that the session’s work includes discussing a number of items, including a report on the conditions of workers of the people of Palestine, financial and administrative issues, and discussing the draft Arab strategy for training and technical and vocational education, and discussing the achievements of the Institutional Arab Labor Organization during the past period.

He added, “The work includes reviewing the report of the results of the work of the 43rd session of the Committee of Legal Experts on capacity development, the report of the results of the work of the 21st session of the Arab Women’s Labor Affairs Committee, and the report of the results of the work of the 42nd session of the Committee on Trade Union Freedoms.”

It is noteworthy that Baghdad hosted the work of the (97th) session of the Board of Directors of the Arab Labor Organization during the period from 16-17 October 2022.
