Amina bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, the Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, held a meeting with Mohammed Al Mansoory, General Manager of Shaikh Zayed Housing Programme at the United Arab Emirates.
The meeting came on the sidelines of the participation of the two delegations in the meetings of the second session of UN-Habitat, held in the Kenyan capital from June 5-9.
The two sides reviewed fraternal relations between Bahrain and the UAE and the efforts made in providing housing services to citizens. They also discussed coordinating efforts regarding issues on the UN-Habitat meeting agenda.
The Minister of Housing and Urban Planning highlighted partnership between the public and private sectors in Bahrain and its outcome in developing housing services.
The meeting also spotlighted the completion of the ministry’s pilot phase of the government land development rights programme, which includes 132 housing units.
Al Mansoory praised Bahrain’s efforts in developing its housing services for citizens and emphasized the importance of cooperation and exchanging expertise.
