KSrelief Signs Two Agreements to Operate Prosthetic and Rehabilitation Centers in Aden and Seiyun, Yemen

Riyadh, King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) signed two joint agreements to operate prosthetic and rehabilitation centers in the governorates of Aden and Sayun in Yemen, benefiting 6,135 individuals.

The two agreements were signed by the center’s Assistant Supervisor General of the Center for Operations and Programs, Engineer Ahmed bin Ali Al-Baiz, at the center’s headquarters in Riyadh.

Director of the Medical and Environmental Aid Department at KSrelief, Dr. Abdullah bin Saleh Al-Moallem, explained that under the agreements, physical rehabilitation services and follow-up will be provided for people with special needs to enable them to contribute to community service, adding that through these centers, patients will be diagnosed and the treatment plan will be determined for each patient separately, in addition to installing all types of prosthetic limbs, and providing functional rehabilitation service for prosthetic limbs with continuous follow-up.

Dr. Al-Moallem added that the agreements aim to raise the capabilities of the medical and technical staff professionally and scientifically and prepare them to deal with specific cases, and reduce the migration of specialized medical and technical cadres outside Yemen.

The agreements come as an extension of the humanitarian and relief projects provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the Center, to raise the capabilities of the health sector in Yemen and alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people.
