MP: Choosing The Board Of Trustees Of The IMN, According To The Principle Of Quotas, Is A Shameful Matter

The head of the New Generation Parliamentary Bloc, member of the Integrity Committee, Sarwa Abdel Wahed, confirmed that the selection of the Board of Trustees of the Iraqi Media Network according to the principle of quotas is a shameful matter after twenty years of change.

Abdel Wahed said in a press statement: The Board of Trustees is supposed to represent the different segments of society and not be restricted to journalists, media professionals, writers, writers, or poets.

She added: The Board of Trustees needs a specialist in the field of psychology, and it needs people with special needs, as well as artists, media professionals, and experts in the field of education or sports. These are supposed to monitor the performance of the network.

Abdel Wahed stressed: the need to move away from the method of appointments and rely on some competencies in addition to their basic work, so that they meet once a month and present their point of view in exchange for a simple financial reward, if you are looking to develop the network.
