Baghdad The MP of Al-Fateh Alliance, Salem Al-Anbaki, affirmed that the budget will soon reach Parliament and its approval will not take time.
He told the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that the budget was sent to the Parliamentary Finance Committee and was returned to the government to make some amendments to it.
He added: The government is continuing its procedures related to the amendments to the budget, and when it is completed, it would be returned to Parliament for its first and second reading, discussion and approval.
He explained: The approval of the budget will not be delayed in light of the agreement of the political blocs on most of its paragraphs after the agreement of the Finance Committee, which includes all political blocs, on the amendments sent to the Council of Ministers.
He continued: The budget deficit depends on the rise or fall in the price of oil, which we hope will be high to reduce the deficit.
