NEOM, Mercedes-EQ Celebrate Winning World Tournament for Formula E Race

Riyadh– The Mercedes-EQ Formula E Team, along with its official partner NEOM, celebrated the win and maintain the titles of FIA Formula E Teams’ and Drivers’ Championships, which was held in Seoul, South Korea upon the conclusion of the Season 8 of Formula E, where the team this season secure the win and tournament number 100 in the history of e-cars in the world.

Finishing Round 16 of the season in second place, Team Driver Stoffel Vandoorne secured both the Drivers’ Championship and crucial points to ensure the Mercedes-EQ Formula E Team celebrated the Team World Championship title.

Meanwhile, as part of this sports partnership, two of the NEOM-affiliated GrOW graduate program have finished their professional scholarship that lasted for an entire year, where Ahmad Al-Hussein and Dua Al-Thaher worked with the best global efficiencies of engineers, experts and technicians at the Mercedes-EQ Formula E Team.

On the occasion, Managing Director of Sport at NEOM, Jan Paterson said: “Congratulations to our partners the Mercedes-EQ Formula E Team on another incredible season and securing back-to-back double Championship wins.
