Our Goal is to Explore and Use Sustainable AI Solutions with Strengthening Digital System at National Level, Says Saudi Aramco’s Chief Digital Officer

Riyadh– Chief Digital Officer at Saudi Aramco Nabil Al-Nuaim affirmed that the company has devised many advanced solutions that take advantage of artificial intelligence and machine learning to process huge amounts of real-time data in order to improve the performance of a range of businesses, including hydrocarbon discovery and extraction, as well as to improve production efficiency and reliability.

In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) on the sidelines of the “Global AI Summit” in Riyadh, Al-Nuaim said that the desire to improve business performance across the value chain is a key driver for Saudi Aramco, asserting that our goal is to explore and use sustainable AI solutions with strengthening the digital system at a national level.

“When we see the potential to benefit from artificial intelligence in any operational area, we will look for the latest technologies that enable us to do so,” he added.

“We, at Saudi Aramco, have launched the (Global AI Corridor) to promote the transformation of the Kingdom’s competitiveness by facilitating and accelerating the development of artificial intelligence across various sectors in the Kingdom,” he disclosed, stressing that the AI Center of Excellence will be the cornerstone of cooperation between Saudi Aramco and other major partners.

With regard to Saudi Aramco’s strategy to invest in artificial intelligence, Al-Nuaim affirmed that the investments have achieved tremendous growth in recent years, due to the wide field of application, where the operations can be enhanced to be more efficient and data-driven.
