SECURITY UPDATE: ISRAELI ENEMY AIR RAID ON BLIDA TOWN, HOSTILE ARTILLERY SHELLING OF HANIN TOWN IN BINT JBEIL DISTRICT, WADI AL-BAYAD AND AL-SAQIYA AREA IN HULA, YARIN TOWN


Israeli enemy warplanes raided the southern Lebanese town of Blida, Marjeyoun District.

National News Agency correspondent also reported that the southern Lebanese town of Hanin in the Bint Jbeil district came under intermittent Israeli artillery shelling from enemy positions inside the occupied Palestinian territories since 3:15 pm this afternoon.

NNA correspondent reported hostile artillery shelling of the Wadi Al-Bayad and the Al-Saqiya area in the town of Hula.

The town of Yaroun in the Bint Jbeil district has been subjected to Israeli attacks since 4:30 p.m. this afternoon with intermittent artillery shelling, coming from enemy positions inside the occupied Palestinian territories.

UNA”, “SPUTNIK” ORGANIZED A VIRTUAL TRAINING COURSE ON ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND VIDEO PRODUCTION


The Union of OIC News Agencies (UNA) organized a virtual training course titled “How Artificial Intelligence Changed Video Production”, in collaboration with the Russian news agency “Sputnik”, with the participation of over 200 media professionals.

At the beginning of the course, Mr. Mohammed Abd Rabbo Al-Yami, the Director-General of the Union, explained that the course aims to closely examine the significant developments brought about by artificial intelligence in the field of media production in general, and video production in particular.

He pointed out that the course falls within the Union’s efforts to enhance the capabilities of journalists in member countries, providing them with the necessary skills to keep up with the rapid changes in the international media landscape and enhance their competitiveness in this field.

Al-Yami revealed that the course marks the beginning of a series of courses to be organized in the near future in cooperation between “UNA” and “Sputnik”, within the framework of the
fruitful partnership between the two sides, aiming to achieve their goals and vision regarding training and qualification.

On his part, Vasily Pushkov, the Director of International Cooperation at Sputnik news agency and radio, emphasized that such joint activities demonstrate the potential for collaboration between Russia and the Islamic world in the field of media, enhancing open dialogue between the two sides in this field.

He pointed out that working with the Union of OIC News Agencies has proven beneficial for both sides, highlighting UNA’s role in facilitating the organization of such courses.

Following that, Igor Arkhipov, Head of the Artificial Intelligence Project at Sputnik news agency and radio presenter, discussed the transformative impact of artificial intelligence in the field of media, especially in video production and visual content.

Arkhipov addressed the capabilities offered by artificial intelligence to translate videos almost instantly, and the most important applications used in this
regard.

He also discussed the significant capabilities of some artificial intelligence applications such as ChatGPT in writing and providing descriptions and texts for videos.

Arkhipov also touched upon the risks associated with artificial intelligence, whether in terms of hacking or in terms of forgery and propaganda campaigns, explaining that these risks existed before artificial intelligence, but they have become more efficient with the spread of artificial intelligence technologies.

Participants in the course learned about the ways to use artificial intelligence and its applications to enhance their media performance.

The course also witnessed several interventions on various issues related to artificial intelligence and its uses in the media.

SECURITY UPDATE: ENEMY AIR RAID ON SOUTH LEBANON’S HOUNIN, HOSTILE ARTILLERY SHELLING OF OUTSKIRTS OF ALMA SHAAB TOWN


Israeli enemy warplanes launched an air raid on Hounin between Markba and Hula, NNA correspondent reported on Tuesday.

Additionally, the outskirts of the southern Lebanese town of Alma al-Shaab were subjected to enemy artillery shelling.

Enemy aircraft also launched a new air raid targeting the town of Hula, Bir al-Musalbiyyat.

200 DAYS OF GENOCIDE: ISRAELI FORCES TARGET GAZA BEACHES AS WARPLANES CONTINUE BOMBING AREAS


Israeli gunboats targeted several beaches of Al-Zawaida, Deir Al-Balah, and Al-Nuseirat, while the areas north of the Gaza Strip saw a series of violent airstrikes, which resulted in the killing of a number of citizens, and injuring others, amidst destruction of homes and property.

WAFA correspondents said that after 200 days of Israeli aggression, occupation warships bombed the beaches of the Al-Zawaida and Deir Al-Balah areas in the central Gaza Strip.

Israeli gunboats also fired shells towards Nuseirat Beach in the central Gaza Strip.

The occupation artillery targeted north of Nuseirat camp in the center of the Gaza Strip, while warplanes raided Al-Thalatheni Street in the center of Gaza City.

The areas of northern Gaza and the city of Khan Yunis, south of the Strip, saw a series of violent raids by occupation aircraft as well.

The Israeli occupation forces Monday evening bombed several areas in the Gaza Strip. WAFA correspondent reported that the forces entered the town of Beit Hanoun, north of the S
trip, from several directions amidst gunfire, while the Israeli artillery bombed the vicinity of the shelter centers on Zamo Street in the town.

He added that the occupation artillery targeted Al-Shaima Street in Beit Lahia, north of Gaza, while military vehicles and drones opened fire towards Al-Mughraqa and Al-Zahraa in the central Gaza Strip.

The Civil Defense Service in the Gaza Strip said in a statement that the number of bodies discovered had risen to 283, in a mass grave found on Saturday in Nasser Hospital in the city of Khan Yunis, south of the Strip, from which the Israeli army withdrew after widespread violations.

The death toll in the Gaza Strip rose to 34,151, with 77,084 injuries, the majority of whom were children and women, since the start of the Israeli occupation aggression on October 7th.

OIL PRICES IN LEBANON: GASOLINE INCREASES, DIESEL AND GAS DECREASE


In recent adjustments, the price of gasoline, including both 95 and 98 octane variants, has seen a rise of LBP 1000, while diesel has experienced a reduction of LBP 11,000. Similarly, gas cylinder prices have also decreased. The revised prices are as follows:

LBP 1,782,000 for 95 Octane gasoline

LBP 1,820,000 for 98 Octane gasoline

LBP 1,556,000 for diesel

LBP 916,000 for gas
