Parliamentary Committee: We are investigating thousands of transformers imported from Turkey at fantasy prices

– The Parliamentary Electricity and Energy Committee announced the opening of an investigation into 8,000 power transformers imported from Turkey at fantasy prices.

Committee member MP Faleh Al-Khazali said in a press statement today, Friday, that “an investigation has been opened into 8,000 electric transformers imported from Turkey that failed the technical examination, and the price of one transformer is 6,000 dollars, priced at 9 thousand dollars.”

He added, “The files of corruption in the electricity sector are the real challenge to the credibility of the government and the Minister of Electricity in particular.”
