PM inaugurates the twelfth TEDx conference in the presence of representatives of several int’l Orgs.

Baghdad The Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia’a Al-Sudani, inaugurated the (TED-X Baghdad) conference, in the presence of representatives of several international organizations and Iraqi scientific figures.

Al-Sudani said in his speech, which he delivered on the occasion, according to a statement by his office: “We live the brightest memory of your renewed qualitative conference, the international (TEDx) conference in its twelfth season in beloved Baghdad, and the celebration of a constellation of Iraq’s creators and competencies.”

He added: “We are aware of the size of the risks and responsibilities that surround our work, and we adhere to enthusiasm, initiative and creativity as the pillars of our project, which we have detailed in our government program,” pointing out that: “Progress and positive change are achieved through comprehensive and sustainable development, and through which political, economic, social and security dilemmas are addressed.

He continued: “What distinguishes our ministerial program is what is in harmony with the objectives of this conference of yours, which was represented in a package of projects, the most important of which was the launch of the (Riyada) initiative, which will upgrade the leadership and specialist capabilities of our Iraqi youth, as well as the formulation of training and scholarship projects for administrative and academic competencies, and the establishment of the Development Fund for Iraq, and the Reconstruction and Development Fund for the poorest governorates, and improving the environment for education, business and investment.

He explained that: “Among our ministerial program is the expansion of projects to address unemployment, vocational training, social and health security, and the granting of soft loans to young people to set up projects and start launching program campaigns, which aim to build the qualitative capacities of young people in the fields of knowledge, skills and professionalism.”

He pointed out that: “Patronizing innovation, invention, and creativity represents a necessity for us that stems from the necessity of mobilizing the strengths in human and material capabilities, and harnessing national efforts to restore Iraq to the forefront of the regional and international presence, on the basis of its historical merit, potential, and the creative outcomes of its youth, thinkers, and innovators.”

He said: “I take the opportunity to bless our people and the whole world on the occasion of the approaching of the New Year’s holidays, hoping that its title will be creativity and renewal, which represents the products of thinkers and creators in this conference.
