Baghdad Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz congratulated President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid on his election and taking the constitutional oath as President of the Republic of Iraq.
The Saudi Press Agency / SPA quoted the Saudi monarch as saying: “We are pleased, on the occasion of your election and taking the constitutional oath as President of the Republic of Iraq, to send you our most sincere congratulations and best wishes, praising the distinguished fraternal relations that bind our two brotherly countries and peoples, which we seek to strengthen and develop in all fields.” We wish you success and the people of the brotherly Republic of Iraq further progress and prosperity.”
