Baghdad, The Nineveh Operations Command of the Popular Mobilization announced, today, Sunday, that it had secured 200 km during the second day of the major security operation in the deserts of Hatra and Al-Baaj.
A statement by the Popular Mobilization Authority stated that the Nineveh Operations Command of the Popular Mobilization Forces continued, for the second day in a row, its security operations in the deserts of Hatra and Al-Baaj in Nineveh Governorate.
The Nineveh Operations Forces of the Popular Mobilization succeeded in securing 200 km towards Salah al-Din and Anbar, seizing 13 homemade explosive devices, as well as seizing 3 caches belonging to the remnants of the terrorist “ISIS”.
The forces were also able to destroy a number of other tunnels and dens on Al-Ba’aj Island, where explosive materials, explosive devices, and ammunition remnants of terrorist organizations were found inside, and they were disposed of in a safe and controlled manner.
