The Investment Commission Forms an Emergency Operations Room to Clarify the Repercussions of the Collapse of Al-Karrada Building

The National Investment Commission announced the formation of an emergency operations room to clarify the repercussions of the collapse of the Karrada building.

The Commission said in a statement that the building had obtained the investment license from the Baghdad Investment Commission on January 29, 2018, with No. 403 and was given to an Iraqi company in accordance with Investment Law No. 13 of 2006 amended as a laboratory for pathological analyzes in cooperation with the Ministry of Health in accordance with the controls and conditions required and documented by them at the time.

It continued, that the building obtained other sectoral approvals, represented by the Municipality of Baghdad as the body responsible for design, and the Ministry of Health as a competent sectoral body at the same time.
