The Minister of Foreign Affairs discusses with his Jordanian and French counterparts the holding of the Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership in its second edition

Baghdad Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein discussed with Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna the holding of the second edition of the Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership, to be held in the Jordanian capital, Amman.

According to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the joint tripartite meeting, which was held on the sidelines of the work of the United Nations General Assembly at its 77th session in New York, discussed preparations related to the agenda and objectives of the conference, which aims to sustain dialogue among the countries concerned, create a state of cooperation and stability in the region and build economic partnerships, and protect Iraq from the external threats.

The statement added, that at the conclusion of the meeting, Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein suggested to his Jordanian and French counterparts that the conference secretariat, in its second edition, be jointly run by an Iraqi administration.
