Baghdad, The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Naeem Al-Aboudi, affirmed today, Sunday, the keenness to strengthen international partnerships.
A statement by the ministry stated, “The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Naeem Al-Aboudi, met with the Syrian Minister of Electricity, Ghassan Al-Zamil, on the sidelines of the 13th session of the General Assembly of the International Renewable Energy Agency in the Emirati capital, Abu Dhabi, in the presence of the Iraqi ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Mudhaffar Mustafa Al-Jubouri, and the Syrian ambassador, Ghassan Abbas and a number of specialists.
The statement added that “the two sides reviewed tracks of cooperation between the two countries and institutional coordination in the fields of renewable energy in a way that serves the interests of the two brotherly countries.”
Al-Aboudi stressed during the meeting that “the Iraqi government and its specialized institutions are keen to strengthen partnerships at the international level in order to achieve the commitments of the Iraqi government in facing climate change and to prioritize dealing with the future of sustainable energy. “
