The Minister of Industry discusses with the Governor of Basra the support of companies and industrial projects

Basra Minister of Industry and Minerals Khaled Battal Al-Najm discussed, today, Saturday, with the Governor of Basra, Asaad Al-Eidani, the mechanisms of future cooperation to support companies and industrial projects and develop the industrial reality in the province.

During the meeting, the minister said that his first visit to Basra Governorate is intended because of the great importance of this province, describing it as the mother of Iraq, and it has endured a lot and sacrificed for Iraq and contributes more than (85% ) of Iraq’s budget and deserves to implement the law of Basra, the economic capital of Iraq, pointing to the necessity of the ministry’s companies contribute to the province of Basra by supporting the province, emphasizing at the same time his great support for the province by adopting a clear vision of the qualitative and real investment that will be presented to the province.

The minister referred to reviewing all the ministry’s contracts related to the governorate, which could constitute a real opportunity for success, stressing his readiness and quest for cooperation and coordination with the local government to provide what can be offered to contribute to the support and development of the governorate.

The Minister of Industry and Minerals had arrived in Basra Governorate today and inspected during his arrival Ibn Majid General Company in his first field inspection tour of the Ministry’s companies and factories in Basra Governorate, accompanied by Administrative undercicretary Makki Ajeeb Al-Diri and a number of general managers in the ministry’s companies in the province.
