The National Security Adviser and the French Ambassador discuss the Syrian al-Haul camp file and the importance of ending it

Baghdad, The National Security Adviser, Qassem Al-Araji, met in his office today, Saturday, with the French Ambassador to Baghdad, Eric Chevalier.

Al-Araji reviewed with the French ambassador during the meeting, “the wonderful opening of the Gulf 25 in Basra, expressing the Iraqis’ hope that this success will culminate in lifting the ban on Iraqi stadiums. The political and security conditions were also discussed, at the regional and international levels, and the importance of continuing cooperation and partnership between Baghdad and Paris was emphasized in the field of combating terrorism and exchanging information and expertise.

The meeting also witnessed “the discussion of the Syrian al-Haul camp file and the importance of ending this sensitive file, to support efforts to combat terrorism and the stability of the region and the world.”
