Baghdad The President of the Republic, Dr. Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received a cable of congratulations from the Prime Minister of Lebanon, Najib Mikati.
The Lebanese Prime Minister – according to a statement by the Office of the President of the Republic – expressed his hope that the election of the President of the Republic would be a step towards achieving the growth, stability and prosperity of the Iraqi people.
Mikati affirmed his country’s desire to deepen brotherly ties and expand cooperation between the Republics of Iraq and Lebanon for the benefit of the two brotherly peoples.
