Baghdad The State Administration Coalition held a meeting this evening, Monday, at the home of the late former President Jalal Talabani, hosted by his son Bafel, head of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan.
A statement by the Coalition stated: It was decided in the meeting to activate Article 140 of the Iraqi constitution, provided that a committee is formed for the same purpose to carry out its duties within a period of 10 days.
He pointed out that the meeting discussed security developments, the completion of the new government’s work program, and other important issues related to the general situation in the country.
The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani, Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi, head of the State of Law coalition Nuri al-Maliki, head of the National Wisdom Alliance Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Fatah Alliance Hadi al-Amiri and a leader in the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein.
