Turkey Announces The Evacuation Of Its Citizens From Sudan

The Turkish Embassy in Khartoum announced that it will organize a comprehensive evacuation today, Sunday, for Turkish citizens wishing to leave Sudan, due to the armed clashes in the country.

The Turkish embassy said in a statement that it will evacuate its citizens today, Sunday, by land to a third country, in preparation for their return to Turkey by air.

It called on its citizens to take the necessary preparations in line with the land trip first, which is expected to last about 22 to 24 hours before moving to a neighboring country and from there to Turkey by air.

The embassy set gathering points in the capital, Khartoum, along with the departure times, asking Turkish citizens to be present at the specified place and time.

It also called on Turkish citizens to closely follow the embassy’s accounts on social media and WhatsApp groups.
