Volcano And Earthquake In Hawaii

Baghdad, An earthquake measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale struck the southeastern coast of the Hawaiian Islands, following the flow of lava from the crater of the “Kilauea” volcano.

The US Geological Survey said today, Thursday, according to (Al-Hurra) channel: “The epicenter of the quake occurred about 7.5 miles southeast of Pahala and 47 miles southwest of Hilo, at a depth of about 20 miles.”

It is noteworthy that the Kilauea volcano in Hawaii, one of the most active volcanoes in the world, began to erupt again, on the first of last January. And the US Geological Survey said that the crater of the volcano is at its peak.
