Energy production in the south discusses with the Italian company Eni preparations for the next Summer season

KSrelief Delegation Participates in Global Meeting of Development Cooperation Providers in Paris

Paris– King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) delegation headed by the Assistant Supervisor General of KSrelief for Planning and Development, Dr. Aqeel bin Jamaan Al-Ghamdi, participated in the Global Meeting of Development Cooperation Providers, organized by the Development Assistance Committee (DAC) at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development’s (OECD) in Paris, yesterday.

During the meeting, Dr. Al-Ghamdi delivered a speech where he explained that the world is facing an unprecedented phase of multiple crises, including natural disasters, epidemics, armed conflicts, food insecurity, widespread poverty, and irregular migration.

He drew attention to the fact that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia overcame the challenges of humanitarian work by supporting the localization of aid work and strengthening national and local capabilities to continue to work and provide humanitarian response to their communities, as the Kingdom contributed to the support of international as well as local organizations in Yemen, Sudan, Niger, Pakistan, Lebanon, and many other countries.

Dr. Al-Ghamdi noted that the Kingdom cooperates with 80 partners to deliver humanitarian efforts in Yemen, including 41 national and local partners who are provided with funding to respond to humanitarian needs, which helped arrange for a faster humanitarian response to focus on beneficiaries at a reasonable cost, stressing that the Kingdom supported joint funding initiatives with donors for the humanitarian response.

He added, “The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has always responded promptly and successfully to humanitarian crises resulting from conflicts and natural disasters in many countries”.

HRH Crown Prince Issues Decision Appointing Al-Bunyan as Chairman of Board of Directors of SME Bank

The Intelligence Service Arrests A Currency Smuggler, And Seizes 140,000 Dollars In His Possession

Baghdad, The National Intelligence Service announced, today, Thursday, the arrest of one of those involved in currency smuggling, and seized 140,000 dollars in his possession.

It stated in a statement: “The detachments of the Iraqi National Intelligence Service, specialized in following up financial crimes in Iraq, arrested one of those involved in smuggling foreign currency.”

It added: “140,000 US dollars were seized in the possession of the accused, who wanted to smuggle.”

Al-Qaim Border Crossing Records the Entry of 120 Vehicles Carrying Aid To Syria This Morning

Baghdad, The Commander of Anbar Operations of the Popular Mobilization, Qassem Musleh, announced: “The border crossing of Al-Qaim recorded the entry of (120) vehicles of various sizes, carrying foodstuffs, fuel and humanitarian aid, towards the Syrian governorates of Aleppo and Latakia, this morning.

Musleh said in a statement: “This aid comes within the framework of the Iraqi commitment to humanitarian communication with brotherly and friendly peoples, and solidarity with the victims of the earthquake.”

2 Terrorists, One of Them A Dangerous Leader, Killed In Diyala Operations Sector

Baghdad, The Security Media Cell announced the killing of two terrorists, one of them a dangerous leader, in Narin area within the Diyala Operations Command sector.

A statement by the cell stated, “The Diyala Operations Command carried out the duty of inspecting the locations of the air strikes that were carried out on the hideouts of the terrorist ISIS gangs.”

It added: “This operation resulted in the killing of two terrorists, one of whom was a dangerous leader, in Narin area within the sector of the Diyala Operations Command. Weapons, equipment, night vision glasses, and equipment were also seized, and a warehouse for livelihood, caves, and tunnels belonging to ISIS terrorist gangs were destroyed.”

Volcano And Earthquake In Hawaii

Baghdad, An earthquake measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale struck the southeastern coast of the Hawaiian Islands, following the flow of lava from the crater of the “Kilauea” volcano.

The US Geological Survey said today, Thursday, according to (Al-Hurra) channel: “The epicenter of the quake occurred about 7.5 miles southeast of Pahala and 47 miles southwest of Hilo, at a depth of about 20 miles.”

It is noteworthy that the Kilauea volcano in Hawaii, one of the most active volcanoes in the world, began to erupt again, on the first of last January. And the US Geological Survey said that the crater of the volcano is at its peak.

Iraqi Embassy in Ankara: 59 Iraqis Evacuated to Mosul

Baghdad, The Iraqi embassy in Ankara announced today Thursday, the evacuation of 59 Iraqis from the shelter center to Mosul.

The embassy said in a statement that it had “evacuated 59 Iraqi citizens from the accommodation center in Ankara to the city of Mosul.”

The embassy announced the opening of a second shelter center in Ankara due to the increase in the number of displaced citizens from the earthquake areas, while it confirmed earlier, the evacuation of 17 Iraqi citizens from the earthquake areas in Turkey.
