A slight loss for Basra crude last week

Baghdad Basra crude closed with a slight loss last week, while Brent and the American crude closed with significant losses, with the drop in oil prices globally.

Basra Heavy crude closed in its last session, yesterday, Friday, with a rise of 2.12 dollars to reach 87.68 dollars, but it recorded a slight weekly loss of 44 cents, equivalent to 0.50%.

In the last session, Brent crude closed down by $2.94 to reach $91.63, recording a large weekly loss of $6.29, or 6.42 percent.

The US West Texas Intermediate crude also closed lower in the last session on Friday, by $3.50 to reach $85.61 a barrel, recording a significant weekly loss also amounting to $7.03, equivalent to 7.59%.

Last week witnessed a rise in oil prices after the decision of the / OPEC + / alliance to reduce production by two million barrels per day, to return to decline again at the end of the week as a result of the economic stagnation that began to appear in Europe and America after raising interest rates in these countries to curb inflation.
