Baghdad Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi and the President of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, stressed the necessity of dialogue in order to overcome obstacles in front of the joint files between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government.
A statement from the Prime Minister’s Office stated: “Al-Kadhimi met Barzani in Erbil, and during the meeting, a number of files were discussed between the federal government and the regional government.
The meeting witnessed the presentation of a number of difficulties and issues affecting the citizens of the region and their daily living.
The two parties agreed that the priority should be on the side of the citizen’s interest with all its components, and the rights and constitutional entitlements he receives in services, health care, education, and other services throughout the country, including the Kurdistan region.
The two sides stressed the continuation of holding joint meetings, dealing with all files seriously, and providing all conditions for constructive dialogues that lead to realistic solutions within the framework of the constitution.
