Al-Sudani is briefed on the field about the ongoing preparations in the Sports City in Basra and Al-Mina Stadium

Baghdad The Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia’a Al-Sudani, conducted an inspection visit to the sports city in Basra Governorate, in order to review the latest preparations taking place in it, to host the Gulf 25 on the sixth of next January.

Al-Sudani listened to a number of plans, programs and activities presented by the Minister of Youth and Sports, the Governor and Advisors, and officials of the security and service agencies.

Al-Sudani stressed that the government, through ministries and local governments, has harnessed all efforts and capabilities to make this sporting event a success.

The Prime Minister stated that “everyone is working with great dedication to prepare all means for the success of the championship, calling on the Iraqi public to cooperate with the organizers and service and security agencies. He also announced the provision of free broadcasts of all championship matches to be available to the public.”

Al-Sudani also inspected the International Port Stadium, which will host a number of championship matches, and blessed its achievement and implementation with Iraqi hands.

Al-Sudani also appreciated the efforts of the workers in the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Football Association and the Basra Governorate, and their keenness and giving in order to complete all the requirements of the Gulf Championship 25.
