FIFA’s President: This tournament will be the gateway to hosting future tournaments on the FIFA agenda

Baghdad, The Minister of Youth and Sports, Ahmed Al-Mubarqa, discussed with the President of the International Football Association, Gianni Infantino, on the sidelines of his attendance at the opening of the 25th Gulf Championship in Basra, the issue of Iraq’s hosting of international tournaments, as it possesses all the necessary ingredients for that.

Seizing quantities of smuggled medicines and medical supplies in Diyala

Baquba, A security detachment seized large quantities of smuggled medicines and medical supplies in Diyala.

A security source told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA /: “A detachment affiliated with the Checkpoints and External Roads Affairs Department seized a vehicle loaded with smuggled quantities of medicines and medical supplies, which was hidden under agricultural crops in the (Sarha) area, northeast of Baquba.”

He added: “The seized materials were confiscated and legal measures were taken against the driver.”

Head of the Turkmen bloc: A balance must be restored between the components in the ranks of the Iraqi army

The volume of trade exchange for Iraq mostly with four major countries in the year 2022

Baghdad, The trademap website, which provides a trade map for countries for exports and imports, considered that Iraq’s trade exchange was mostly with four major countries in the year 2022.

The website said in its statistics that “China, Iran, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates were the countries that exchanged the most trade with Iraq during the year 2022,” noting that “the exchange with these countries ranged between 20-50%.”

The Deputy Chief of Staff of the PMF calls for documenting the biography of the victory leaders and their role in protecting Iraq

Baghdad, The Deputy Chief of Staff of the Popular Mobilization Forces, Yasser Hussein Al-Issawi, called for documenting the jihadist and heroic biography of the victory leaders in order to inform generations about it, stressing that the martyr leader Qassem Soleimani rose up in order to support the Iraqis.

Al-Issawi said in a speech he delivered during the memorial festival that was held in Al-Muthanna Governorate, that: researchers, writers, and historians should work on documenting the jihadist, heroic, and humane biography of the victory leaders and their comrades, given the physical sacrifices they made in order to liberate the land and protect the sanctities. Pointing that the martyr al-Muhandis’s Jihadist life began 40 years ago against the Baathist regime, leading to the fight against the criminal gangs of ISIS.

He added, “The martyr Qassem Soleimani was the first to help the Iraqis in their war against the terrorist ISIS,” noting that “the martyr Soleimani rose up to support the Iraqis and protect their honor from the ISIS, and he was the most prominent attendee in the plan to break the siege on Amerli.”

He pointed out, “Whoever gloats over the martyred leaders and their comrades is an accomplice to the murderer who carried out the treacherous assassination crime against the leaders of victory and their comrades.”
