Kut The civil defense Directorate teams put out a large fire in one of the orchards in “Al-Hakim neighborhood” area within the borders of the city of Kut, the center of Wasit Governorate.
The Director of Civil Defense in Wasit, Brigadier General Samir Razzaq, told the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA): “The fire was brought under control and prevented from spreading to nearby homes and orchards, without causing casualties.”
He explained: “The cause of the fire was an electrical short, as a result of the public electricity wires hanging over the trees of the orchard.”
