New York, The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, participated on Monday in the joint ministerial meeting between the GCC countries and the People’s Republic of China. The meeting convened at the headquarters of the Permanent Mission of the Republic of China in New York, on the sidelines of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly.
The GCC delegation was headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Chairman of the current session of the Ministerial Council, His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, with the participation of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the GCC countries, and the GCC Secretary-General, Dr. Nayef bin Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf. The Chinese side was chaired by the State Councilor and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Wang Yi.
Discussions focused on relations between the GCC countries and the People’s Republic of China and ways of enhancing them as well as a number of issues of common interest.
