Riyadh, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, received today in Riyadh Russia’s Special Presidential Envoy for Syrian Settlement Alexander Lavrentiev.
Russia’s Envoy conveyed the greetings of President Vladimir Putin of the Russian Federation to His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense. In turn, HRH the Crown Prince sent his greetings to the Russian President.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed aspects of bilateral relations between the two countries as well as developments in Syria.
The meeting was attended by Minister of State, Member of the Cabinet and National Security Adviser Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban and Chief of General Intelligence Khalid bin Ali Al-Humaidan. On the Russian side, it was also attended by the Russian Foreign Ministry’s Special Envoy and Director of the Middle East and North Africa Department Ambassador Alexander Kinschak.
