The Turkish FM visits Qatar tomorrow and meets a number of Hamas officials

Istanbul, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will visit Doha tomorrow, Wednesday, during which he will meet his Qatari counterpart, Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday that Fidan and Bin Abdul Rahman will discuss during their meeting tomorrow in Doha the situation in Palestine and regional developments in addition to bilateral relations.

According to information from local diplomatic sources, the Turkish Foreign Minister will meet within the framework of the visit with officials in the Hamas movement, without mentioning any other details about the subject of the meeting.

Yesterday, Monday, the Turkish Foreign Minister met with US Undersecretary of State for Administrative Affairs John Bass in the capital, Ankara.

The two sides discussed the latest developments in the region, the situation in Gaza, developments in Syria and Ukraine, and Black Sea security, in addition to discussing energy issues and combating the PKK and ISIS organizations.

Settlers set up tents on citizens’ lands in Kafr al-Dik

Salfit – Together – Today, Tuesday, settlers set up tents on citizens’ lands, in the town of Kafr al-Dik, west of Salfit.

The mayor of Kafr ad-Dik, Dr. Alaa Al-Deek: A group of settlers stormed the Banat Bar area on the western side of the town and set up tents since the morning hours.

Al-Deek indicated that the area is 400 meters away from citizens’ homes, and that the area is targeted. A number of notifications were distributed to citizens under false pretexts, noting that the area is surrounded by the ‘Beduel’ settlement established on citizens’ lands.

Al-Hakim stresses to the Governor of Sulaymaniyah the importance of stability and development in the Iraqi governorates

Baghdad, The Head of the National Wisdom Movement, Ammar al-Hakim, stressed the importance of stability and development in the Iraqi provinces.

A statement by Al-Hakim’s office stated that, at the beginning of his visit to Sulaymaniyah Governorate, he met with its Governor, Haval Abu Bakr, and heard from him about the developments in the economic and social conditions in Sulaymaniyah, and stressed the importance of stability and development in the Iraqi governorates as part of stability and development in general in the country.

Al-Hakim stressed the necessity of investment and the income of investors, as it provides money and job opportunities and enhances the incomes of the governorate and the country more generally.

Riyadh Eid Events Attract over 500,000 Visitors


Riyadh: The festive events organized by the Riyadh Region Municipality during the Eid Al-Fitr days have witnessed a large turnout of citizens and residents in the capital and other governorates of the region. Celebratory vibes prevailed across more than 88 locations, with 13 of them situated in Riyadh and the remaining 75 spread throughout the region’s governorates and centers.

The activities encompassed fireworks, the Saudi Ardah traditional dance, and other folklore arts, as well as corners featuring productive families, theater performances, various shows, and other events. Additionally, games were available in public parks and municipal squares.

The municipality diligently prepared the sites for the Eid celebrations ahead of the vacation period and completed all necessary works, including logistical support and the development of new locations to accommodate the growing number of visitors. The total count of visitors has exceeded half a million, with 120,000 in the region and 390,000 in Riyadh alone.

ll these preparations and the expansion of celebration sites have enabled the region to cope with the steady increase in the number of visitors compared to previous years, all under the supervision and follow-up of the Mayor of the Riyadh region, Prince Dr. Faisal bin Ayyaf.

Integrity Commission: The coordination team discussed with the American side cooperation and coordination in combating corruption

Baghdad, The Federal Integrity Commission announced that the coordination team that accompanied the Prime Minister on his visit to the United States of America discussed several issues related to the recovery of wanted persons and smuggled assets as a result of corruption and the conclusion of memorandums of understanding.

The Commission’s media office stated in a statement: ‘The team discussed with the competent authorities on the American side ways to facilitate the process of recovering convicts, accused, and smuggled funds and assets.’

It explained that the discussions conducted by the coordination team also included emphasizing the importance of accelerating the conclusion of memorandums of understanding between the Iraqi Integrity Commission and the US Department of Justice on the one hand, and the Iraq Money Recovery Fund and the US Treasury on the other hand.

Three people accused of drug trafficking arrested in a district of Babylon

Hilla, Security forces arrested three people accused of drug trafficking in northern Hilla, the center of Babylon Governorate.

A security source said: ‘A joint force from the National Security Service and Babylon Police arrested the three defendants in an ambush in the Jableh district, north of Hilla, based on accurate intelligence information.’

He added: ‘The force seized a quantity of narcotic pills and crystal substances from the defendants’ possession, and they were transferred to the competent authorities for investigation.’

CST Commission Issues ‘Earth Observation (EO) Platform Regulations’ and ‘Application for Obtaining a Permit to Provide Earth Observation Platform Service’ Documents


Riyadh: The Communications, Space, and Technology Commission (CST) has issued the “Earth Observation (EO) Platform Regulations” and the document “Application for Obtaining a Permit to Provide Earth Observation (EO) Platform Service.” These regulations aim to create an appropriate environment for enabling the private sector to establish and develop Earth Observation (EO) services markets and emerging businesses, thereby stimulating their contribution to raising the Kingdom’s gross domestic product (GDP) through the development of value-added products.

CST stated that through the issuance of these documents, it aims to grant the first permit in the Space sector in the Kingdom to an entity responsible for establishing and operating an electronic platform. This platform will collect and process Earth Observation (EO) data and serve as a market and digital enabler, collecting and processing data received from satellites, such as images for monitoring Earth’s natural phenomena, environmental pollution, and weather
.

Additionally, the aim is to establish links between Earth Observation (EO) data providers and value-added service providers who aim to develop and process data into value-added programs and products.

CST further clarified the requirements for applicants who wish to obtain the permit through the document “Application for Obtaining a Permit to Provide Earth Observation (EO) Platform Service.” The document outlines relevant obligations to ensure user rights, data trading safety, and preservation.

CST urges those interested in providing Earth Observation (EO) platform services to review the documents and submit an application for the permit.

Al-Sudani discusses cooperation with General Dynamics to rebuild military capabilities

Baghdad, Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani received, this evening, Tuesday (Baghdad time), at his residence in Washington, DC, a delegation from General Dynamics, which is one of the largest American companies that manufacture weapons and military equipment.

During the meeting, cooperation with the company was discussed, within the framework of the government’s efforts and steps towards rebuilding its military capabilities in the field of tanks and armored vehicles, as well as cooperation to complete a large workshop for the maintenance and development of tanks, to make them compatible with Iraqi fields and airspace. It was also agreed to launch a set of initiatives with this company in the near future, which comes within the government’s plans to develop the military institution and support it with various types of modern weapons.

Riyadh Gears up for FEI Jumping and Dressage World Cup Finals 2024 on Wednesday


Riyadh: Riyadh is gearing up for the FEI Jumping and Dressage World Cup Finals 2024 with the participation of 51 riders, both male and female, from 24 countries, and 60 horses. This edition of the FEI World Cup finals, running from April 17 to 20, marks the first time for the Middle East to host the competition. Initially planned to amount to 5.2 million Saudi riyals, the prize fund has now reached 10.3 million Saudi riyals, making it the largest in the history of the event.

The opening day, held at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center (RICEC), will feature the Grand Prix in Dressage, followed by the show jumping round with obstacles set up at a height of 1.6 meters. The day will conclude with an exciting performance for the spectators presented by Spanish horseman Santi Serra. The list of show jumping riders includes 34 male and female competitors, led by Swedish champion Henrik Von Eckermann, German rider Isabell Werth, Swiss rider Steve Guerdat, and the French duo Julien Epaillard and
Kent Farrington. Saudi riders Ramzy Al Duhami, Khaled Al-Mobty, and Abdullah Al-Sharbatly will also participate.

In dressage, the list comprises 17 male and female riders, with the German trio of Isabell Werth, Matthias Rath, and Raphael Netz at the forefront, along with the American trio Ben Ebeling, Kevin Kohmann, and Anna Marek. Attendees of the championship will enjoy various accompanying activities, including live art performances, diverse workshops, educational and artistic activities, and entertainment games.

They will also have the opportunity to experience unique shopping areas, commercial outlets, and a dedicated photography zone. The organizing committee has set up a comprehensive media center, equipped with a press conference hall, and specialized professionals providing professional news services to various local and international media outlets. Over 150 media professionals representing 10 Arab and other world countries will be present to cover the event.

Madinah Advances 11 Ranks in the IMD Smart City Index 2024


Madinah, Madinah recorded an advancement of 11 ranks in the IMD Smart City Index issued by the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) in 2024, ranking 74th globally after ranking 85th in 2023.

Madinah ranks seventh among the Arab countries listed in the index for digital progress and readiness of cities. The index aims to balance economic and technical aspects, enhance human dimensions, and meet the population’s needs. It supports urban development by building smart cities, transforming public places into attractive points, reducing carbon emissions, and improving the quality of life.

The efforts led by Al-Madinah Region Development Authority in cooperation with its partners in all government departments have contributed to raising the level of coordination to activate digital initiatives and achievements in various sectors in order to achieve an advanced ranking among the smart cities in the world.

Al-Hakim: We renew our support for the PM’s visit to Washington

Baghdad, The head of the National Wisdom Movement, Ammar al-Hakim, renewed, today, Tuesday, his support for the visit of Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa al-Sudani to Washington.

Al-Hakim said in a statement: ‘We met this morning with the new Australian ambassador to Baghdad, Glen Mills, and expressed our wishes for success in heading his country’s diplomatic mission in Iraq. We also exchanged views on developing relations between Iraq and Australia, and we welcomed the desire of Australian companies to enter Iraq and benefit from the promised opportunities that Iraq offers in many fields.”

He added: “We renewed our support for the Prime Minister’s visit to Washington and expressed our hope that the visit will achieve the desired results, while we stressed the importance of Iraq’s stability for the security, stability and safety of the region.”

He continued: ‘We also renewed the call for a ceasefire in Gaza, and the necessity of providing relief to the displaced, bringing in aid, and rebuilding the city, and
we called on the international community to end the state of double standards in dealing with the tragic and disastrous reality in Gaza.’
