“Al-Murabba” Provides 7 International Dining Destinations to its Visitors

Riyadh, Al-Murabba area, one of the zones of Riyadh Season 2021, received a large number of visitors during its first days, as the tickets for reservations were sold out on the inauguration day.

The activities in Al-Murabba area will be continued until next December, where the visitors have the chance to experience more than 7 international dining destinations in one place.

Al-Murabba is not only a place to dine at a luxurious table in one of the international restaurants, it also provides rich cultural experience such as visiting the National Museum which will provide unique information about the history of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Arabic language and Islam.

Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Albanian Islamic Sheikhdom Sign Executive Program of MoU on Islamic affairs

Tirana, The Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh, currently on a visit to the Republic of Albania, signed here today, the executive program for cooperation in the field of Islamic affairs with the the head of the Islamic sheikhdom in Albania Sheikh Boyar Sepahiu, in the presence of the Saudi Ambassador to Albania Faisal bin Ghazi Hefzy.

The executive program between the two sides stipulated holding three scientific courses in qualifying preachers, imams, and callers in Albania. To introduce Islam, explain its virtues and tolerance, fight extremism, and state its position on contemporary issues, it will be held in the Republic of Albania in the years 2021- 2022 -2023, and the Islamic sheikhdom will be provided with copies of the publications of King Fahd Complex for Printing the Noble Qur’an and translating its meanings, and the Ministry’s publications and books.

The program’s items also included the exchange of invitations to attend Islamic seminars and conferences, and competitions for memorizing, refining, and interpreting the Noble Qur’an, which is held in the two countries in the years 2021- 2022 -2023, and holding scientific meeting at the King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Noble Qur’an in Madinah to convey the Kingdom’s experience in serving the Noble Qur’an and translating its meanings. It will be held in Madinah in 2022.

HRH Crown Prince Congratulates Uzbek President on his re-election for New Presidential Term

Riyadh, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, has sent a cable of congratulation to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the occasion of his re-election as President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

In his cable, HRH the Crown Prince wished the President every success and the people of Uzbekistan steady progress and prosperity.

Saudi Arabia Supports Economy of Pakistan with US$3 Billion Deposit

Riyadh, The Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) announced the issuance of the Royal Directive to deposit an amount worth of US$3 billion into the State Bank of Pakistan to help the Pakistani government support its foreign currency reserves and support it in facing the impacts of the coronavirus pandemic.

The SFD added that, in addition, the royal directive was issued to finance the oil derivatives trade with a total amount of US$1.2 billion throughout the year.

It pointed out that these royal directives confirm the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s ongoing stance in supporting the economy of the sisterly Republic of Pakistan.

Communications, IT Minister Praises Pioneering Partnership Between NEOM and OneWeb

Riyadh, Minister of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Space Commission (SSC), Eng. Abdullah bin Amer Al-Sawaha announced a pioneering partnership between “NEOM” and “OneWeb” company worth $200 million will provide a satellite network that will change the face of broadband Internet throughout the Middle East and Africa, enabling new business models.

In a dialogue session entitled “Connection of Digital Economy to Space Economy”, as part of the activities of the 5th edition of the Future Investment Initiative conference, Eng. Al-Sawaha said, “The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s presidency of G20 last year took it upon itself to reduce the digital gap, because we do not accept the exclusion of billions of people from participating in the digital economy due to their inability to connect to the Internet, and we do not accept that the school digital experience offered to a child living in a remote area is less than the one we all enjoy.”

He explained that the Saudi space sector constitutes a great opportunity for investors, indicating that the large area of the Kingdom and its proximity to the equator make it an ideal location for launching satellites, expecting to launch 15,000 satellites by 2030.

MCIT Minister also pointed out that King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) has partnerships with the California Institute of Technology and Stanford to establish centers of excellence, and a Saudi research team will join aboard the Chinese space station in 2022.

Eng. Al-Sawaha also stated that the international demand for investment in the space economy is huge, and over the next two decades, the global space economy, which is worth more than 400 billion dollars today, is expected to grow to one trillion dollars.

The participation of MCIT and SSC, represented by the Minister, aims to enhance the Kingdom’s leading role in the ICT sector and space, develop new opportunities and motivate foreign investors and companies to join the rapid developments being witnessed by the sector and emerging technology sectors in the Kingdom, in addition to attracting research institutions and innovative gatherings to the Kingdom, and the exchange of knowledge and experiences with senior officials and executives to support the development and growth of the digital economy, as well as increasing bold investment projects and future investment through the increased use of Internet of Things technology, and the creation of effective companies with value and new emerging ones.

President of Human Rights Commission Receives Dutch Delegation

Riyadh, President of Human Rights Commission Dr. Awwad bin Saleh Al-Awwad received today a Dutch delegation headed by Human Rights Ambassador at the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs Bahia Tahzib-Lie, and Ambassador of the Kingdom of The Netherlands to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Janet Alberda.

During the meeting, they discussed many issues of common interest, especially in the areas of human rights, strengthening aspects of the bilateral cooperation in this field and ways to support and develop them, in addition to discussing relevant regional and international developments.

Riyadh, Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Ali Abdulamir Allawi, and the accompanying delegation arrived in Riyadh today to participate in the Middle East Green Initiative Summit.

Upon arrival at King Khalid International Airport, he was received by Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Cabinet Member Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir; Iraqi Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Abdulsattar Al-Janabi, and a representative of the royal protocol.

Center for Research and Intercommunication Knowledge Participates in Najaf Book Fair

Riyadh, The Center for Research and Intercommunication Knowledge, along with more than 200 Arab and foreign publication houses, is participating in the Najaf Book Fair that is being held between October 20 and 30.

The center, in its pavilion in the fair, allows its visitors to have a close look at more than 80 books of its publications that cover accredited research, modern studies, and modern investigations for some heritage references, in addition to translations, dictionaries and the center’s periodicals in the political, economic and cultural fields.

The participation of Center for Research and Intercommunication Knowledge in the fair is part of its efforts to promote its message, goals and productions, enhancing cognitive and cultural ties with Arab peoples and spreading knowledge and research through participating in local, regional and international fairs.

Ministry of Health Reports 51 New COVID-19 Cases, 56 Recoveries in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh, The Ministry of Health (MoH) announced the registration of 51 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 56 recoveries in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during the past 24 hours.

The ministry added that the number of critical cases reached 77.

The statistics showed that the total number of infections in the country reached 548,303 while the recovery tally reached 537,338.

The MoH reported 2 new deaths, bringing fatalities tally in the Kingdom to 8,780.

The Ministry of Health advised everyone to contact the toll free (937) for consultations and inquiries around the clock, and to obtain health information and services.

International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation Organizes First Meeting of AfTIAS Board of Directors

Jeddah, The International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation (ITFC) will organize on Wednesday in Jeddah the first meeting of the Board of Directors of the Aid for Trade Initiative for Arab States (AfTIAS2.0) Program. The meeting will announce the launch of the second phase of the program aimed at increasing trade opportunities between Arab countries, providing job opportunities for poor groups and supporting women and youth.

The launch of the second phase of the program, which will be implemented over five years, aims to encourage investment in infrastructure and digitization that would stimulate intra-Arab trade, and work on providing credit facilitations to increase the rates of inter-trade, and the establishment of programs that enhance the conditions of poor groups in Arab societies to improve their living conditions through trade. This is in addition to supporting and encouraging the participation of women in international trade and helping Arab countries to exchange knowledge, expertise and technology that contribute to the promotion of inter-Arab trade.

KSrelief Concludes Activities of Sixth Voluntary Campaign in Zaatari Camp, Jordan

Amman, King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) concluded, in Zaatari camp for Syrian refugees in Jordan, the day before yesterday the activities of the sixth voluntary campaign, in the presence of Vice President of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation Khalid Al-Thebity, and the delegation of the Ministry of Sport.

This campaign comes within the voluntary programs organized by the KSrelief, as part of the importance of the voluntary work, which is one of the humanitarian practices related to all values of charity and giving.

MoFA Extends Validity of Visit Visas for People Outside Saudi Arabia, from Countries Facing Entry Suspension

Riyadh, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in cooperation with the Saudi Authority for Data and Artificial Intelligence “National Information Centre”, and in coordination with the Ministry of Finance (MoF) and Ministry of Interior, has extended the validity of visitor visas for people who are outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and from countries facing entry suspension as a result of the novel coronavirus. The visas are extended until November 11, 2021, without fees or charges.

The beneficiaries of the extension were notified via their emails, where an e-visa form was attached.

This comes in implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The extension also falls within the Saudi government’s continuing efforts to mitigate the repercussions of precautionary measures taken to confront the COVID-19 pandemic.
