South Gas Company: We Will Invest 100 Cubic Meters Of The Remaining Burned Gas In Majnoon And Luhais Fields

Basra, The South Gas Company announced its intention to invest the remaining quantities of burned gas in Majnoon and Al-Luhais fields in Basra, whose quantity in the two fields ranges from 80 to 100 cubic feet (million standard cubic feet).

The production director of the South Gas Company, Ali Salman Majeed, said in a press statement: “The Company is in the process of contracting with the Basra Gas Company for the purpose of developing the agreement in order to invest that gas for a short period, and until the construction of the “Artawi” project assigned to the French company Total, which will invest gas in Majnoon, Luhais and West Qurna 2 fields.

He added: “If the gas of the three aforementioned fields is invested, two plants will be built with a capacity of 600 cubic meters per day.”

He pointed out: “The South Gas Company announced work on implementing a plan to complete the process of completely burning gas from the oil fields in the south, through several projects that are implemented according to the directives of the Ministry of Oil within the project of “zeroing the burnt gas”.
