Baghdad, The President of the Republic, Dr. Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received today, Tuesday, at Baghdad Palace, the delegation of the Kurdistan Region Parliament.
During the meeting, according to a presidential statement, they discussed political developments in the country, including the Kurdistan region, where the President of the Republic expressed his vision of the importance of concerted efforts and unification of visions to confront the common challenges facing the country, indicating the need for effective dialogue in order to resolve outstanding issues between the Federal government and the Kurdistan Region in accordance with the constitution and the law and in a way that protects the interests of citizens.
The President stressed the importance of approving the country’s general financial budget because of its impact on the lives of citizens, and initiating construction, reconstruction and basic infrastructure operations, alluding to the government’s ambitious ministerial program and the need to implement it, especially the items directly related to citizens’ requirements in improving living and service conditions.
He pointed to the necessity of continuing coordination and dialogue between the Kurdish political parties, and starting from the important participants in developing the interests of citizens in the region and the whole country during the dialogue.
For its part, the Kurdistan parliamentary delegation appreciated the efforts of the President of the Republic in bringing the views of the political forces closer together, supporting the consolidation of security and stability in the country, and advancing the living and service reality for all citizens.
