Baghdad, The (Intelligence Online) network concerned with intelligence affairs revealed the details of the upcoming visit that Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani will pay to the French capital, Paris, on the twenty-sixth of this month.
The network indicated in a report published today, Tuesday: “Al-Sudani will be very busy in Paris discussing economic, political and security partnership projects with the French side,” explaining that “the Iraqi Prime Minister will discuss with French investors opportunities to enter the Iraqi market directly.”
It continued: “Among the files that Al-Sudani will discuss with French President Emmanuel Macron, the Baghdad metro project, which Iraq hopes that French companies will implement during the coming period.”
The network confirmed that “Al-Sudani will discuss the projects of the French Total Energy Company, including entry into the Iraqi energy sector.”
Al-Sudani will also discuss with the French side, according to the network’s report, Iraq’s purchase of French Rafale fighter jets and supplying the Iraqi Air Force with the necessary defense systems to protect Iraqi airspace from violations.
The American (The Defense Post) network confirmed: “The French authorities informed Al-Sudani earlier, of their desire to equip Iraq with military technologies in the event that the Iraqi government desires.”
