Six drug dealers and a murderer arrested hours after he committed the crime in Najaf

Najaf The Najaf Police Command announced the arrest of six drug dealers in a northern neighborhood, and a murderer hours after he committed the crime.

The police command indicated in a statement that “a force from anti- organized crime and a force from (SWAT) raided a den in Al-Nida neighborhood in the north of the governorate for drug dealers, arrested 6 of them and confiscated an amount of crystal, drug tools and various weapons.”

It explained that a suspect was arrested who killed a citizen in the province after a quarrel occurred near Crete Mall in the north of the province, indicating that after collecting information and investigating the whereabouts of the suspect, he was arrested three hours after committing the crime ..

A large funeral for the federal martyrs in Kirkuk

Kirkuk The Governor of Kirkuk, Rakan Saeed Al-Jubouri, Head of the Supreme Security Committee, attended the funeral procession for a number of the Federal Police who were martyred within the borders of Riyadh district.

The funeral took place from Kirkuk Airport and was attended by Major General Jabbar Naima Al-Taie, Commander of the Joint Operations Headquarters in Kirkuk, and Major General Fakher Dair Al-Bahadli, Commander of the 3rd Division of the Federal Police.

The Governor of Kirkuk expressed his condolences to the families of the martyrs and the security leaders, calling for an emergency meeting of the Ministerial Council for National Security.

He called for the reinforcement, support and deployment of military units within the administrative borders of Kirkuk, and for sending military reinforcements to them.

A young man and a girl were shot dead, northeast of Baquba

Baquba A security source announced that a young man and a girl were killed in Muqdadiya district in Diyala Governorate, for unknown reasons.

He told the reporter of the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that a person shot a young man and a girl while they were in a field for breeding calves in the village of Al-Naseem on the outskirts of Muqdadiya, northeast of Baquba, killing them both.

He added that the two bodies were taken to the forensic medicine department, while the security services opened an investigation to uncover the motives of the crime.

Baghdad The Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammad Shia’a Al-Sudani, received, this morning, Wednesday, the Commander of the US Central Command, General Michael Korella, and his accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, they discussed aspects of military cooperation and coordination between Iraq and the United States.

Al-Sudani stressed the importance of continuing joint work, especially in the field of advising and training the Iraqi forces, which are engaged in the confrontation against terrorism effectively and professionally.

He pointed out that the Iraqi forces are determined to continue working to stabilize stability and preserve the successes achieved in the war on terrorism.

America announces the resumption of its operations against “ISIS” in Syria

Baghdad The US Department of Defense (The Pentagon) announced that it has fully resumed its operations against the “ISIS” organization in Syria with the “Syrian Democratic Forces”.

“With these local partners, we focused on preventing the reconstitution of ISIS,” said Pentagon spokesman Gen. Pat Ryder at a news conference.

He added, “Operations resumed last week, on December 9.”

The American patrols were reduced last month, as the “Syrian Democratic Forces” suspended their patrols, objecting to strikes by Turkey and the possibility of it launching a ground operation.

Baghdad The Military Intelligence Directorate arrested 3 terrorists and 28 suspects in various cases in five governorates.

The Directorate stated in a statement: It is based on accurate intelligence information of the department and people (intelligence and security) of the Diyala Operations Command and the Seventh, Eighth, Eleventh, Fourteenth, Sixteenth, and Seventeenth Divisions, and in cooperation with intelligence and a force from the brigades of those commands, and the Intelligence and Anti-Terrorism Divisions of Al-Qaim and Amriyat al-Fallujah, tight ambushes were set up in the regions of the provinces (Baghdad, Anbar, Kirkuk, Diyala, and Nineveh), which resulted in the arrest of (3) terrorists wanted by the judiciary in accordance with the provisions of Article (4 of terrorism) in Al-Qaim, Hawija, and Amiriyat al-Fallujah, and (28) accused of various cases in separate areas of those provinces.
