Baghdad, The Director General of the Dhi Qar Oil Company, Ali Khudair, announced the resumption of experimental production operations from the Sabbah oil field, with a capacity of (10) thousand barrels per day.
Khudair said, according to a statement by the Ministry, that the national effort has succeeded in resuming production from the Sabbah oil field in Dhi Qar Governorate, after modernizing and changing the operating mechanism to automatic, announcing the start of the trial operation period with a capacity of (10) thousand barrels per day, to reach the available energy (100) thousand barrels per day.
Khudair referred to the ministerial directive on the need to resume production from the national effort fields due to their importance in supporting the oil industry, raising the production of the governorate fields, and strengthening and supporting future projects in the extraction and refining sectors.
For his part, Director of the Projects Authority at Dhi Qar Oil Company, Jabbar Karim, confirmed that the field in its new form will add from 10 to 25 thousand barrels per day, according to the requirements of plans to maintain and increase national production from the oil fields.
